Mathematical background

History and museology

Morenaments was developed by Martin von Gagern as part of his diploma Thesis, under the supervision of Jürgen Richter-Gebert. It exists also a hyperbolic version on von Gagern's website.

Richter-Gebert created iOrnament, an app for iOS that allows drawing tessellations in the spherical, euclidean, or hyperbolic space.

Another implementation of the same idea is KaleidoPaint, by Jeff Weeks.
